Since 1996 The Institute of General Practice has been given the possibility to prove its role and place in the undergraduate medical teaching and to prove that primary care and general practice has something to offer to medical students.
The lectures to the 4th year students bring the basic theory of primary care and general practice but also practical aspects of care delivered by general practitioners, including physical, psychological, social and ethical aspects.
6th year students are trained directly in general practice by experienced trainers.
All assisstents are active practitioners, important CME leaders and members of different committees and project teams both on national and international level.
The aim of the Institute is to upgrade the level of academic performance to European level.
