Clerkship: General Practice

The Compulsary Eligible Subject General Practice Course is organised for English speaking students by the Institute of General Practice of the 1st Faculty of Medicine.

The course starts with an opening seminar at the Institute. Then students are refered to teaching practices in Prague.

1. Opening seminar on Monday, March 6^th, 1.30 pm, at the Institute of GP, Albertov 7 (entrance from Studničkova street):

Introduction to the clerkship, aims, content, opportunities, allocation to practices.

2. Practice attachement

It includes 6 sessions in training practice as agreed with GP trainer, usually at afternoons.

First three sessions are supposed to be introductory with general insight in practice organization and clinical work.

The following three sessions should be focused on specific topic, either clinical or organizational, guided by GP trainer.

3. Closing seminar on Monday, May 15^th, 1.30 pm, at the Institute of GP, Albertov 7 (entrance from Studničkova street):
Students are supposed to present their experience in 10 minutes performance.
It can be a clinical case, organizational aspects of practice, international comparison of primary care performance, etc..

The capacity of the elective course is limited.
